UHealth Opens Vascular Access Center in Palmeto Bay

For dialysis patients, a functioning dialysis access is necessary to provide a high rate of blood flow through a filter for efficient cleansing of waste materials. A poorly functioning dialysis access can result in incomplete dialysis treatments and declining health. It is also a leading cause of hospitalization among dialysis patients.
The new UHealth Vascular Access Center offers an alternative setting for vascular access procedures. The team of Interventional Physicians and specialized staff, under the leadership of Loay Salman MD., and Arif Asif MD., is dedicated to the care and treatment of patient vascular access needs. The center, located in Palmetto Bay, provides focused, expert care in a timely manner to the dialysis community.
