Preparing for Your Hospital Admission
Please obtain copies of all pertinent medical records, blood test results, from your personal physician and hospital. We request that you do not mail important medical information because it may not arrive in time for your procedure. It is also helpful to bring a list of all current medications including herbal and over-the-counter medications.
Do not take aspirin, NSAID’s or blood thinners seven to ten days before your procedure. Plan to arrive two hours before the procedure for blood work and registration. Please go to the admitting office located on the 2nd floor lobby area of the University of Miami Hospital to be registered for the test procedure. Hand carry with you your insurance card and any pertinent medical records.
